connecting with others

Project Outreach's number one initiative is school service clubs that create genuine relationships between individuals with disabilities and their non-disabled peers. By hosting school and community wide events, each chapter can spread awareness and understanding of disabilities. We want to open the eyes of the world that people with disabilities are more like typical students than different from them and we feel that these service clubs help foster that mentality.  Being able to connect with students no matter what age, create a sense of understanding that can only be found through relationships. Whether it is playing games or comfortably being in their presence, they are happily content with your friendship. This is why we do what we do, and we wish to share that by reaching out to other schools to do the same.
